A/C Compressor Part NO

Shopping for A/C compressor for my 2006 Beetle TDI the original compressor currently installed ( SD7V16 and 1J0820803K) . My last digit is causing problems. I found the L N and F but not the K as the last digit. Are these compressors that different? I looked in one of the VW parts catalogs and found the compressor listed as the "N" as the last digit. Help would be appreciated. I'd like to get this stuff or order. Thanks !!

The 4th set in the part number is the revision code.
1-2-3-4
1J0-820-803-K

As parts are replaced with updates, that 4th set in the part number evolves moving later in the alphabet. I'm sure the decoder is on TDIClub somewhere, but a quick google search for "How to decode OEM VW part number" will turn up a page describing how to decipher a part number.

In short, L or N should be fine as a replacement for K. F may be a part that pre-dates your original.

I purchased the compressor in question and it fit perfectly, even though Amazon said it was not the correct item for my car. Thanks for the input.
