my \'87 4 litre Toyota turbo diesel land cruiser passed emissions!
I recently bought a 1987 HJ-60 turbo diesel Toyota Land Criuser that was imported into the U.S. last year. The engine has high miles (460,000 kms) There is no cat, and I STILL passed Washington state emissions. I filled up with B100 and drove around for two hours. Then I drove to the test area. They hooked up a sensor inside the tail pipe, and another outside the pipe. They then reved the engine to redline (didnt like that) four times and checked how muck LIGHT was getting to the sensor outside the til pipe!
She passed! I was truly amazed!
