Agreed. I'm sure it's well done and nice to drive, but at least from the pictured angles it looks a lot like an AC with some extras tacked on.

My pet dream is to someday build cars from scratch I can't afford to have otherwise. Since one much crawl before they can walk or run, step one will be to build a Locost (Lotus 7 replica).

Actually... step one will be to build a shop in which to do this work...
