No power to radio

2006 Jetta brm
I unplugged my premium 7 radio to install after market radio. The after market did not power up. I removed and reinstalled the old premium 7. Also no power.
I checked all fuses including the 10 on the back of the radio. All is fine.
What did I do wrong. How do I get power back?

Have you tried disconnecting the battery, shorting the cables for 10 secs, then re-attaching?

How do you short the wires?

Remove them both from terminals; touch them together. Separate them. Reattach.


This can fix intermittent electrical gremlins.
