You're posting in the wrong place. This is the Passat forum.

You will have to find an aftermarket solution if you want to retrofit remote start onto your S trim Sportwagen. There are no OEM options available.

What makes the passat able to have remote start and not a golf?

Is the starter different? Seems all it needs is some vcds, receiver, a remote with another button, and relays.
