all depends on your bank.
Got my email from chase after 11, logged on, inputed my information, funds were available to me the next morning at 7. I have USAA, FYI

Ohhhhh, I guess I will use that account then. I was going to use my local Credit Union, but they do screwy things with direct deposits. Although the timing still sucks for car buying - turn car in Thursday afternoon and so I won't have cash in hand when i'm car shopping over the weekend.

I turned in mine on Thursday at 11am and the specialist said he had to overnight the documents. I received email from Chase on Friday around 7pm. Due to weekends my funds were in my account on Monday morning.

The buyback specialist does have to overnight the documents, but that isn't what gets you paid--it's the entry in the computer system that does that. You should have an email from VW confirming the buyback transaction before you leave the dealership.

That email I got right there when I turned my car in and he asked me to confirm if I received that email. My comment was regarding chase email. I was under the impression that once they overnight the docs and once they receive the docs that when you get chase email.

Turned in my car Tuesday at 4PM PST. Got the Chase email Wednesday at 8:12PM (11:12PM EST like others). I don't expect the money till Tuesday, since Monday is a federal holiday.

I don't believe the Chase email depends on the overnighted docs, but I'm not sure anyone here knows for sure. I'd understood, at least, that it depended on the transaction being marked complete by the buyback rep (along with the uploaded photos, odometer reading, etc.), which is also what generates the transaction confirmation email you get.

Well poop, the 8:12 email didn't come. Thanks everyone for getting my hopes up. :( Guess I'll have to suck it up and enjoy the weekend.

Turned our car in on 5/24. Still waiting. VW Claims Representative told me 3-5 days the first time I inquired. I inquired today and they have escalated it which will take 5-7 days. Apparently if you ask about where your Chase e-mail is they string you out another 5-7 days.

Update: The e-mail came through at 11:10pm last night 5/31/17. I'm counting 4 business days. The Holiday seemed to stretch it out forever.
