Does a 2005 passat TDI auto have differential fluid separate?

I can not find if the passat has a separate fill for the differential. I am changing the trans fluid and I want to do the diff at the same time. I can not figure out if the diff and trans share fluid or not.

No they do not share. IIRC, the plug is on right side next to drive shaft flange. There is no drain so you have to turn the car on it's side (LOL) as it is almost impossible to suck it out through the access hole. Frankly I have never seen one with burned differential fluid. Typically it is still clear even after 200k miles.

Mine had leaked a bit for some reason, so I topped it off once. No issues since.

I will check the fluid level. I probably won't change it unless it looks bad.
