^^^All good points. Yes, of course, Mann makes the filter, but doesn't VAG sign off on it, if it's to be labeled as "OEM"?
I understand that VW may have "over spec'ed" the filter. However, as I stated before, given the history of the frail CRTDI fuel system, I'd think the LAST thing VAG would do would be to make the fuel filter smaller.
