do you have to remove the top tray, the centre vents then the radio on the 2009 Jetta ? or can you use the removal keys to just remove the radio? thanks!
Use an old credit card to lift them out. There is a howto on vortex faq with pictures.tomc said:do you have to remove the top tray, the centre vents then the radio on the 2009 Jetta ? or can you use the removal keys to just remove the radio? thanks!
Here you go. No special tools required. This thread is about installing a device that plugs into the back of the radio. Therefore it includes complete instructions for removing the radio. A trim removal tool is helpful, but not necessary. A torx screwdriver is needed.tomc said:do you have to remove the top tray, the centre vents then the radio on the 2009 Jetta ? or can you use the removal keys to just remove the radio? thanks!
If it is like 06 Jetta you can easily set an airbag code if you don't follow instructions very carefully! Then you will need someone like me who has VCDS that can turn off the air bag code or the dealer. You will also fail inspection if your state has one with the code.tomc said:do you have to remove the top tray, the centre vents then the radio on the 2009 Jetta ? or can you use the removal keys to just remove the radio? thanks!
