Drive Axles - Best Place to Buy in Southern Ontario

Where is the best place to by good quality drive axles in Southern Ontario (Hamilton, Toronto, Kitchener, Guelph). Or buy on-line.

Please share your experience.

Aftermarket axles are junk

import auto in hamilton has em for 70
the source has em for 40
selction is limited to what u can find

Do NOT by chinese ones, they are solid and resonate at certain rpm. Best is to rebuild oem with new bearing kit.

I know about the cheep Chinese axle problems.

One source is Raxles.com, but the shipping to Canada and duties make that source cost prohibitive.

If I rebuilt my own, where can I find good Inner & Outer joint kits.
Hopefully not made in China. But if make in Chine, good quality that will last for a while.

I can also buy a set at the local scrap yard and rebuilt. Buy where to buy good guality 1/2's

You can also buy the proper quality GKN joints locally. Any of the local shops should be able to source them. IM me if you have troubles finding them.

The stock 99.5 are solid and thinner is diameter too.

Hands down. $45 @ both places. "VW the Source" or "Friscos" in North York.

My $0.02? Go with a used 2.0 CV shaft if your car is 2001 or older. You can always swap out the axle flanges and go VR6!!

Or 1.8T... Same flanges/drive axles for both engines..

I have a set of vr6 axles for sale if anyone needs them.

FYI:

VR6 axles will hit the subframe if your car is low.
