I replaced the turbo on my (early) 2005 Jetta TDI, dummy me when I broke the oil line didn't write down the part number:eek:
I cant find the correct part.

It was a copper coloured hard-line that had to be threaded into the turbo and into the oil pump... all I can find is a hard line with the wrong tip for the turbo or a flexible line that would fit both sides, Advice?

Don't have a part number for you, but you're looking for the oil feed line and it's available through not only the vendors on this site, but also from any parts store, including online stores like Jegs and Rock Auto. The Jegs website will likely have the OEM part number in the description if you really want to order it through the dealer.

If it is copper colored it is not likely that it is the original. Original line would have been black paint coated and the aftermarket ones that I've seen are shiny metal.
My vote is to replace it with a braided version, too.

If you do opt for the hard line and live in a corrosive environment you would do well to put a dab of antiseize compound on the tube where the compression nut slides over it. Put some (just a little),compound on the fitting's threads, too being careful not to introduce the compound into the oil line.
This should prevent the tube from getting twisted off if you need to remove it years from now.

The end that goes onto the turbo is still missing the screw:( is it a separate part?

You will need a copper crush sealing washer between that fitting and the turbo...and of course, two more crush washers for the banjo fitting.
Not sure if they would be the same size as the turbo end.

You might consult Franko6 for this. he probably has what fittings you need from the oil filter bracket to the turbo.

Take the old line to the hydraulic shop and have them make your new flexible line. You can use a tape measure to ensure the length you want.

All hydraulic shops should have the necessary adapters and such

I prefer the swivel elbow on the turbo side.
