I was always looking in the rear view mirror to see if it
was smoking when I floored it...
and I think that the rules and regulations will be heightened
in a while because of the VW dieselgate and such...

still hitting egt lim after 4k? maybe try even more railpress, like 2500 bar or so :p 450/900 sounds better than 440/900 no? :p

Only with 4.2tdi cp4 pump. :)? Cp3 probably would not like it anymore. :)
How much deg. soi have you tested at 4k?

Have u triee? If u look at inside of both pump i would def not put my bet on cp4 tiny roller and agressive cam

Haven´t taken apart CP4HS2, but i´m just a bit skeptical if the CP3 can reliably deliver 900bar over original design and still work for long time.

Slightly larger (gtx) compressor wheel should help out if you are near orig. compressor limits.

Edit: quick calc shows that with lambda 1,2 you are close to maf limit also @ 4000rpm.

when will the first 3l with 1k Nm be there? Bobby cant u squeeze a bit more midrange boost to reach the 4 digit torque?

If someone has spare gearbox
I don't feel brave enough - what will go first rod, gearbox or head lift.
If it was a 1k engine and gearbox you don't mind to take chance I guess.

Ball sizes have reduced with age :)

It would be expensive to be the first to blow one of these out of shear power!

I do think it would be fine past 500hp!

We need to get stuck into the 3L again, running a car in daily use and doing what you have done is painful, my cars are always dead but our 3.0 project was my brothers car and he wants it back every night in perfect working order!! haha

Forget gtx when you are able To use efr wheels directly. S200sxe/efr7064 compressor for example.

Hat's off to you for running a dpf.I'm always looking in the rear view to try and minimize the smoke from my dirty old ALH :eek:.

New development always takes time unless you have deep pockets.
Something always turns up - give it time ;)

In the meantime anyone tried more than 2k railpres on a cp3?
I work on a duramax pulling truck that runs 2 later model (LBZ I think) cp3's and somewhere around 26,000 psi rail pressure. I could look into the cummins/duramax nozzles to see if they would fit the 3l Q7 inj cores that I might still have.

I have a Taiwan compressor wheel in hand also and it looks good.We are going to rework the 72.4mm inducer wheel into my gt45 for the low pressure unit.

was the 6hp28 modified? it seems like 900NM would be way too much for it.
For all 3.0TDI guys, there is always option to upgrade to A8 4.2tdi box.Its rated to 650Nm but can take around 1200Nm. I have 2x RS6 in my country with the same box and 1200Nm dynoed torque. I think im well over 1000nm myself because of 102mg @ 4k with my v8 tdi and no slip so far...we will see what 110mg does :D
