IP leak lead to a coolant hose leak!!

I have read that the leaking IP pump would drip on the lower coolant hose problems........well it is true! I have been watching for small leaks and it just happened on Friday. When my mechanic checked the hoses they disintegrated....thank god I didn;t take it on another job I would've been stranded. Well I couldn't find a stocked hose and we would have to wait a week to order.....so He found other hoses and made them fit....I love the fact he has the skill to think out of the box....this is not a temp fix but a good alternative. He said the order part would've cost around $130.

Fill us in on the details of the other hoses please.

Bulk hoses from Napa or any other auto parts stores. They won't be preformed like OEM but will do the job for fraction of the price. Been there done that.

Well it has worked well...I don't know what hoses he used, he just found hoses and angles that would work. Small leak..slow just need to tighten a clamp.
