Splash Guards

Well my Passat finally arrived, and it sure is nice. When I ordered it I talked them into free Splash Guards, but it ended up coming from port without them. The dealer said they could get some in and put them on if I wanted and tried to tell me that due to the coating underneath they wouldn't actually do much and wouldn't look good on it. I think they may have even said that they weren't Passat specific and were just generic ones.

Thoughts on them, should I bother?

I loved my OEM splash guards on my mk5, they fit like a glove and I think do look good even if they don't really do anything. If I had a Passat and there were OEM flaps, I'd want them.

The last time I checked with my dealer there were no oem splash gaurds available for 2012 Passat yet. As soon as they are I will have them.
