Check engine light came on. Getting fault codes P244c, P0043, P002B, and P0012. How difficult is the fix and what parts cause the codes. Is it something that needs to go to the dealer?

P244C - Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), bank 1 - exhaust temperature too low for regeneration

P0043 - HO2S heater control circuit low bank 1 sensor 3

P002B - B camshaft profile control circuit low

P0012 - A camshaft position actuator, timing over-retarded

I'm not sure what to make of the camshaft codes, as the CKRA engine does not have variable camshaft timing.

What are you using to read the trouble codes? A generic OBDII reader or VCDS?

. . . . perhaps the P0012 should be 'Code reader over-retarded' . . . :) :)

See if you can get it read with VCDS (or other VAG compatible reader). I suspect it will tell a different story . . .

I have seen P244C due to months of short trip city driving, that code also brought along a few others as I recall. Take it for a hour long spirited drive and report back :)
