CR swaps?

Its been 5 years now has anyone really achieved the most HP from the CR engines?

To answer your question though, yes. Malone's new kit will make 280whp and ~400lb-ft. Higher than this you might have to start porting heads, but I will leave answering that up to someone more knowledgable than me.

Also, people across the pond have been making big numbers with the CR's and a gtb2260 for a while now.

Fuelling is the limiting factor right now I think for or Max power.

Heat and EGT is also a problem.

I've read the Duramax pump can be used. Can it fuel more?

Yes, I would pretty much guarantee the duramax hpfp flows significantly more than ours. After all, it has to supply a much larger and more powerful motor. I doubt that it is anything close to a plug and play swap though. A plug and play CP3 kit would be awesome.

I would think if fuel is the limiter on HP. (Please do not cry I am not here to sell)I would look at out side fueling as I have been doing with CNG added. I have been running it for over a year now on the ALH with no problems. I will be testing this summer on the track in the Beetle with the system tuned just for racing.

BY the time you upgrade the pump on a CR $2000+ injectors $????? tuning time
$$$$$ the cost would climb out of control

CP3 pump is the answer.
