In Autoweek they mention a MB Diesel will be available next year, BUT, you know the drill by now, only avail. in Yurp. DC manufactures these in Belgium for fuel wise consumers unlike us wastful Maricans! OH WELL. No wonder the Yurpeens feel we are spoiled here!

Belgium ?
I heard they want to make our PTs at Steyr in Graz/Austria, like they do with most Chryslers for Europe. Does DC have a engine plant in Belgium ?

I read that in the latest issue of Diesel CAR, as well. Apparently they will wait until they begin production of Euro-spec PT Cruisers in Europe. The current crop are made here, and only with the crappy Chrysler gas engine.

Imagine a Dodge Neon in sheep's clothing with a Mercedes diesel powerplant!
If that isn't automotive sacrilege-- I don't know what is!

It's like washing down a 99 cent bean burrito from Taco Bell with some Chateau La Fete Rothchild...
