As more and more Mk6 JTDI's start hitting the dealer lots, more and more people will be looking to buy, and there will be a whole lot of "how much did you pay for your TDI" threads and questions. I myself have already got quite a few PM's asking.

This should clear things up. I have made the template below to help.

Hover did you ever do this? Is this USAA pricing? I checked that and it was not that good so it threw me when you said USAA as not sure if you meant you did something better than them as 24100 would be about invoice on your car andd you got an amazing price!!!!!

I think, I could be wrong, but I think he traded in a more expensive car, and didn't have to pay tax title or license.

I had a trade in valued at 13,650 to get to that 10,949 which included the 199.00 doc fee.

I'd have to check but i think my highline was just over $30K out the door. I got $600 off list, no other bells and whistles.

i got monster mats later, and will wait for spring to get 30% tint on all windows.

$24773 CDN is the wholesale cost of a TDI Highline 6MT, i got the dealer to go to $26K before taxes, PDI, etc.

I got the extended warranty as well, not factored into that out the door price... which I may return, I am still undecided. The warranty was $1,700 for 5 yr 100k miles bumper to bumper. I also seem to have a spoiler that I didn't notice at first. The car was traded form Austin to Houston, so it had 200 miles on it. Anyways... long story short, I think I got a deal for out the door $26.4

What is the highline edition? Around here in MI i have yet to see a tdi with the foglight/navi/push start option and the ones that i have seen for sale without these options have a sticker price of 25,500, but at the auto show the jetta with the mentioned options above which was an additional 1200 bucks was only 26400. oh well, how on earth are you guys getting these cars on sale for 23k?? Theyre ridiculosly hard to find, i so want a white one with the fogs/nav.

Be patient, look around, go to the dealer and haggle them down.

I found the "invoice price" on Edmunds.com and that is what I paid.

2011 Jetta TDI 6MT plus appearance package.

It's completely dependent on the availability of dealers in your area/state. The dealer I went through was 83 miles away when the closest (non-participating) dealer is 1.9 miles away. USAA dealer prices vary, I happened to find one that was pretty cheap. Actually, according to the USAA online service, the pop-up said "Low Price Alert: This price is the lowest nationwide among 133 certified Volkswagen Dealers"

So that would be why it was 22,800... well 22,851 to be more exact.

It happens. My local VW dealer could get within 1,000 of the USAA dealer price near me (as mentioned above PA has the lowest nationwide dealer), but it was worth a grand to drive 83 miles to get it.

They are primarily a "personal lines" insurance company (although they have branched out into other banking services). They offer their services to members of the armed forces and their families. I've been a member for over 20 years, their rates are very competitive and the offer many ancillary programs, like their automotive concierge service, that many of the the folks in this thread reference.

By many (me included) they are considered the best company in the insurance business.
