I put one of the very first AVIC Pioneer units in my 2003 Altima years ago. Outstanding head unit then and heck it's still in the garage to go into another vehicle at some point. It spent 10 years in a vehicle that went from Alaska to the Texas border and was a champ through all those weather conditions. If you are going to upgrade you can't go wrong with that option IMO.

I think a head unit that would replicate my phone would be outstanding... even better if it's a factory option.

What factory features would be disabled if you switched out the head unit?

Steering wheel controls might either be disabled or you'll have to pay for the adapter. On my 03 Passat, I think the adapter was around $100.

I was always disappointed with my pioneer. It never got good radio reception. I even replaced my antenna base and still the same thing. I switched back to the factory radio. The reception is a tad better but it looks more factory. This pioneer, however, looks very clean.
