is there any difference between the B3 and B4 dash with the exception of the glove box/air bag thing?

I'm wanting to get one of those carpeted dash mats for my B4 but it has a B3 glove box swapped in. I wonder if there might be a design difference in the dash mats.

I would hate to order a B4 dash mat only to find out it covers the B3 glove box. And would just as much be disappointed to order a B3 mat to clear the glove box opening only to find it doesn't fit the rest of the B4 dash contours.

The mat, if properly designed, shouldn't cover the air bag cover.
Since the mat wouldn't cover the B3 glovebox, and the B4 air bag cover is the same size and in the same location, the B3 mat should similarly not cover the B4 air bag.

that was my feeling. I have a mat for my escort and there is a cut-out for the air bag. But also a seperate piece for the air bag...

but even though the air bag and glove box are inter-changable that does not neccessarily mean that the rest of the dash board is the same. is there any contour or shape differences between the B3 & B4? I mean they are in many ways the same car...

looking through a number of pictures on the net, the dash contours appear to be identical - the switchgear and vents are different, but the actual dashtop, defroster and speaker locations and sizes appear to be the same.
