hello, I have a ibiza 6k with asv engine, which must gtb2060vklr material, 11mm head, nozzles hflo-x 0.341 and reprogramming to 2.1bar.
Wanted to put a cam but dont know which place you should get more gains, I thought of 260 º or 272 º dbilas what these say?
What other brands advise that has good feedback?
Another thing, usually mechanical meter hydraulic lifters instead of the ina?
Greetings and thanked tdi help the world.

But what is the difference of 260 º to 272 º?
Which gives more hp?
And mechanical lifters we usually get in tdi vp?
There is another camshaft from another brand with good feedback?
cumps

Camshafts are a compromise - Where in the power band do you want more power?

Very generally, the longer the duration, the higher in the power band it will make power (not necessarily more power) and the more you'll loose in the lower RPM band.

Bigger is not always better when it comes to camshafts

We all would like that :)

You'll probably have a +/-10% maximum effect over a ~2000 RPM wide powerband with a camshaft from one extreme to another with all the supporting modifications.

This is just my uneducated, anecdotal opinion - others with more experience may chime in an school me on this so take it for what it's worth - free advice on the internet :)

More opinion please, I want to buy a camshaft :)
The engine is open and can be changed in order to get any scoring camsahft.

This is the cam I run:
11.17mm lift
225@.050 .440" intake
230 @.050 .440" exhaust
110 lsa

Excellent midrange power, but not good at low rpm. Power increase over previous 196/196 cam at mid to upper rpm. Power loss at low rpm vs. 196/196 cam

You may gain in one area, but lose in another. Depends where you want power

Excuse my lack of skills, if you use a cam that has a power improvement over stock in some rpm range, are you losing the same power in another rpm range? is it proporcional?

personally I would go for 1.9SDI camshaft it is not easy to find but was proven to give good results
