Default VCDS scan of Mk7 airbag

I just started using a Ross-Tech micro-can cable, and am wondering if it is safe to scan the Mk7 airbag module.

Reason I'm asking, is that on Mk4's sometimes a scan of the airbag module would set off a permanent airbag light which could not be turned off. My Mk4 has the airbag model which is affected by this, so I never scanned the airbag module. I believe this issue was unique to the Mk4, but I'd like to be certain.

Now I'm hoping to scan my Mk7 - hopefully this isn't an issue with the Mk7's. I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me if it's OK. Thanks

As far as I know that is only a legacy issue. I have scanned my car several times with no ill effects.
