Default Trying car on for size....

Seriously, thinking about a new vehicle for myself. I've never had a new car

If you have one of these cars, could the wife and I sit in it, play with it, and decide if it would be a good fit for me (us)....minus the lot lizard help.

2013/14 Passat TDI
Beetle TDI convertible
2011 Golf TDI. I know, not new, but a certain submariner's car intrigues me

Thank you in advance.

Bruce

Bruce, I don't have one of those. If I did, I'd let you try it on.

Well, I've never owned new car either (closest to new had 1980 miles on it).

The new NMS Passats are quite roomy, even for full sized humans like me. But the Beetle is probably darn near as roomy in the front seat area, and still as cavernous in the roof as before.

Bruce. I have the 2011 Golf. Wife has one also. I'm 6'2" 225 lb. The wife's 5'8" xxx lb. Lots of room for the both of us. Great headroom for me. We both play a lot in our rigs. Very comfortable cars. The Passat is bigger physically. Never sat in one for an interior evaluation. But I like the looks of them.

I have the Beetle TDI, but not the convertible. I'm 5'10" and have plenty of room in the front. The back seat, on the other hand, is best reserved for small children with legs less than a foot long. Or groceries.

You're welcome to take our Passat for a spin. It's a 2012 though...

Fuel Economy: Who cares? It's a DIESEL! Great fuel economy comes as a bonus!
Cool

I have a new 2014 BMW 535xd that could be made available for a test drive if you want to try something other than VW.

Well if you're offering BMW test drives, I'm in!
