Seattle BioDiesel GTG- final thread.
We are very close to finalizing the schedule, and will update this thread as needed.
When: February 23rd, 1-4PM
(TDI'ers are encouraged to arrive by 12:30 to allow us to park neatly, for display. We will also be able to hang out longer, and will move on to a local Pub as desired.)
Where: Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6523 Phinney
Avenue North, lower brick bldg. We will
have designated parking for diesel rigs!
What: We will have speakers discussing various
aspects of Biodiesel use, including: what
it is, how it may affect your vehicle,
four new bills in the WA state legislature,
home-brewing, etc.
We will also have plenty of time to B.S.
about TDI's, look at cars, and head to the
pub.
We would love to know how many people to expect, and when you will arrive- please post here!
This should be a lot of fun, and is open to anyone, whether they drive a diesel or not. If you have any friends who may be interested- please bring them along!
If you have questions that all may be interested in, please post them here- otherwise send email to: nwbiodiesel@hotmail.com.
If you want to volunteer- to spread the word, or day of, please contact: avantaholic @ akahn@windermere.com
We look forward to meeting everyone...

Re: Seattle BioDiesel GTG- final thread.
I think I'll be showing around noon, to mingle and park neatly
I'd like to give thanks ahead of time to the organizers - they have put forth much effort and time. Thanks in advance.
I'm trying to get my father to join us. He just got a 2003 Golf TDI, and is quite new to the TDI scene.
See you all soon.
michael.

Re: Seattle BioDiesel GTG- final thread.
I was w/o a TDI temporarily but now I've found
a new Jetta wagon. I'm ready to rejoin the
group and burn the bean. I'll be there at noon
or earlier if you need any assistance.
cheers,

Re: Seattle BioDiesel GTG- final thread.
I'm in. I will be there whenever you need me to help. I'm a little sorry to miss the "caravan" up from the South. There's always the return trip though.

Re: Seattle BioDiesel GTG- final thread.
I haven't been reading the TDI forums much lately and just found out today about the biodiesel GTG planned for Feb 23rd. I'll be driving my bright red 1998 New Beetle TDI that's been running on B100 from Dr. Dan since last August.

Re: Seattle BioDiesel GTG- final thread.
I am aiming for 12 or 12:30 to be there. If there are any fellow TDI members that want to drive down together, Fred or other BCers we could meet at the 1st Rest Stop on I5 highway just south of Blaine, Wa. Email me if that works out ok, paceman50@hotmail.com. Mark.

I'll be there. I'm planning to arrive early to help with putting up signs and stuff. I'll probably bring my new A3 TDI.

A word of thanks to the organizing body for this GTG and some advice - if any of the speakers are not familiar with the information debated in the forum concerning H2O in Bio ("Another wonderfully gross B100 analysis" located in Fuels & Lubricants"), please encourage them to study it carefully. I just saw a post a couple days ago that Dr. Dan has every shipment analyzed, and his last was .02 with .05 being the benchmark.
Dunno a lot about it myself... (I'll look)
Yes-we will be notifying TV, Radio, Print, and ?
If anyone wants to distribute a good-looking color flyer, I will email it to you in .pdf format. Thanks!

I will be there . . .
I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to make some for a school project (with appropriate adult suprevision and assistance).

Speedbird...BA? Whale driver by chance?
I will try and be there before noon. I may have a Chevy Malibu owner come with and show her the light...
I will be starting out from Vancouver, WA. So if anyone wants to meet up and caravan post it on here and we can figure out a meeting spot and time. Maybe we can do breakfast before heading out?
