VCDS doesnt display G581 Turbo Actuator Position Sensor Parameter
So im running the VCDS 11.11.3 and I cannot find the parameter that reads the output of the turbo actuator position sensor. You can see the link that seems to best describe my problems below:

I need to check out the output of this but cant find where to look!!! The directions in the post http://forums.tdiclub.com/showpost.p...6&postcount=48 describe going to measuring block 120 but there is no block 120....

Please keep in mind that I have a couple of things disconnected. I need to be able to observe a real time readout of the voltage from the turbo vane position sensor while I actuate it.

VCDS can only show you what the car knows, and even more importantly, what the engineers at the factory decided it should divulge to a scan tool. As far as I can tell, feedback from this sensor is not available in your engine.

On my BEW it was measuring blocks group 43 position 2.

Sorry for the confusion. I just received my Bentley and its the G500 sensor not the G581. I found it in Group 43 Block 2 in a readout of % not voltage. I would have helped to have this labeled appropriately in the VCDS software.

I just loaded my Ross-Tech software on my laptop and did an auto scan. I am also trouble shooting a P0299 under boost condition and was looking in group 11 to cycle the N75 valve but it looks like this group is not available for the BRM 1.9 tdi. I also looked in my Bentley book and the actuator is called Turbocharger Vane Position Sensor (G500). I am trying to become more familiar with VCDS. Where did you find the information that indicated that Group 43 Block 2 is the read out for the sensor? Does anyone know if you can cycle the N75 valve on the BRM 1.9 tdi with Ross-Tech VCDS software 11.11.3?

I think that when you run the test for the turbo actuator it uses the N75 valve while the rpms go up and down. There's also a separate test specific to the N75 valve but I cant tell you exactly how to get there without going and plugging into the car.

For all PD cars is same BRM or BEW .
You need to do basic setting 011.
Field 4 is position of actuator sensor.
