Simple question - No blue "I"?

Yesterday I ended up behind an Audi Q7 TDI in traffic. It had a little sticker in the back window that said "TDI Clean Diesel", but the TDI badge in the back did not have the blue "I", just a chrome "TDI". Does Audi not use this Blue "I" on the Q7s? The A3s I've seen seem to have the blue "I", why not the Q7s? I'm just curious.

I just saw one on the road this last Sunday. It had the an all chrome TDI badge.

My new A3 also has the full chrome TDI badge.

Our Q7 does not have it either, but our Passat does. Maybe they started it in 2012.
