| VW Passat Family (NMS and B7) TDIs (2012+) Discussion area for the 2012+ Passat TDI (North American and rest of world versions versions). The North American model was previously codenamed NMS (New Midsize Sedan) and the version the rest of the world gets is sometimes referred to as B7. |

One thing Lug_Nut and I noticed is that although the trunk is long, it's quite shallow and the opening is small. I don't think a room-sized air conditioner in a box would fit through the opening. I had the same problem with my Audi A4: the trunk was pretty spacious, but it was limited in what you could fit through the lid.

I'd like a Lupo, too, AND a blue unicorn, but good luck finding a Lupo in the USA.

A Lupo hybrid (1.2 liter 3 cylinder TDI plus electric) would be a Prius killer. VW could probably make the car with regular steel instead of aluminum with that drivetrain.

Agreed. It would also probably take business from the Honda Fit and other similar-sized cars.

Let's not forget the Lupo is out of production.

Yes, for several years now. You can wake up from your dreams, a Lupo ain't gonna happen. The UP! concept may become a future Lupo, but you know how notoriously bad trying to crystal ball VWoA's intentions is...

When the Lupo is 15 years old though, it will be legal to import one into Canada. Should be easy to find a clean, low-mileage European Lupo. Mind you I think I'd prefer the Polo, a little more right-sized for me.

I know. The days of attractive cars are over. Everything has to look mean and goofy.
yuck
