I'm going to go get some B100, but the closest retail commercial pump is 150 miles away, so I'm going to buy ~20 gallons of it for storage in my garage for the next 9-12 months. It'll get up-to +120 degrees in my garage during the hottest days (like TODAY) and down to +20 degrees on a few of the coldest days during the winter nights.
I *was* going to use four (4) five-gallon yellow diesel plastic cans that I can pick up anywhere, since I have to transport the B100 back and store it in the garage. Are these standard yellow "diesel" containers adequate for long-term B100 diesel storage, or should I get actual METAL cans instead?

I have stored B100 in the commercially available 5 gallon fuel jugs 6 months with no problem. But I bought an HDPE jug from the local supplier here and use that now.

Good question. I was just at my local grocery store, and they don't sell the AZ Ice Tea in bottles that size or shape.

Hey Steve, Walmart has them. My daughter just picked up a few bottles (42 ounce) for me this afternoon.

I would avoid metal gas cans for storing BD. They're bad news. (who knows what is in that metal that might react to the BD over time)
There are metal lined cans for fuel storage, but the lining probably wouldn't be made for BD.
