Well, since the title says leaf blower, I have to chime in....

I have seen a gas powered leaf blower installed on a 87 300zx NA. It was the "Rust in the wind" car at the 2009 24 hours of lemons race in CT. I talked to a guy on the team, he said it did actually make a little HP. He said he tied it into the actual fuel supply so it could keep going over the 15 hour race. I think it died at the end of the first day (8 hours of running).

Sounded really weird going around the track!
