Straight pipe on cr140

I am thinking about putting a straight pipe on my 2013 beetle that's had the dpf/egr deleted but I read somewhere that a straight pipe can cause the stock turbo to over speed, does anybody have any experience with this?

Haven't really seen issues there on mechanically sound cars. It would be well worth picking up a VCDS cable to data log the vehicle to diagnose the car long term. You would be able to pin point any imperfections in the setup, and if needed your tuner should be able to make adjustments accordingly.
