I have read about kits to install the older 1.9L TDI engines in the older pre 1996 Toyota pickups. Since the newer clean burn more powerful engines cars have been out about four years and several must have been totaled, is anyone aware of a kit to allow the 2.0L clean burn TDI to be installed in the 96-2004 year model Tacoma pickups? If not, has anyone attempted a similar conversion? Seems like this combination would be sweet especially if the ECU was chipped to increase HP and torque? Wonder how the EPA laws would apply to this engine swap out with regards to removing the DFP to allow a stage II chipping mod.

Thanks for any information in Advance!
Regards, Ron

The acme TDI to v6 trans adapter plate will work just fine with the newest CR motors. Biggest problem is the ecu. Pretty much have to go standalone with a Nira or Skynam.

The Skynam catalog needs to come with a large container of K-Y!:eek::eek:

I wonder if somebody in the euro-market will adapt Megasquirt to run CR?
