I'm attempting to install DVD headrest in my 2000 Jetta with cloth seats. The back of the seat doesn't come off like in the instruction video. I can't get the wires fished down to the bottom of the back of the seat. Any ideas? Also, I want to hard wire the DVD player to the fuse panel. Do I need to remove part of the dash to get to the back of the fuse panel? Thanks.

You'll have to remove the knee bolster to access the back end of the fuse panel. Real easy with a torx driver.

As for fishing through the seat; are you using a solid wire to fish or just pushing the wiring though? I'd use solid wire, like 12AWG or a coat hanger.

Thanks for your reply. I figured out the wiring, but not the fishing wires through the seat. I've tried a coat hanger and it gets hung up every time about a third of the way down. Is it not going to be possible since I have side air bags in the seats?
