Thanks to our governor, diesel prices jumped ~$0.20 everywhere last Wednesday. Since the hurricanes in the months prior, diesel has been more expensive than regular unleaded and now more so :(
Don't forget the diesel sales tax ALSO went up from 9% to 13%! If they stopped diverting the fuel taxes from roads for motor vehicles to non-road uses, we could fix the roads for what the previous tax rates brought in.

In the last two days I've seen diesel prices between $2.569 and $2.969. I was okay with paying $2.679 today when I was on reserve. RUG appears to be mostly $2.50 to $2.60, with some higher and some lower. There are some stations where the spread between RUG and diesel is only 5-7 cents/gallon.

RUG is $2.51, diesel is $2.79 at the local Speedway.

In Ontario the cheapest fuel is on the reserves Diesel is 83.9/Liter, Reg. is 1.029/Liter.
Off the reserve however the lowest Diesel (around here) is 1.099/Liter, Reg. is 1.136/Liter.

Highest prices around are 1.755/Liter for Diesel and 1.449/Liter for Regular.

$2.97 this morning - no excise tax charged at this station.

Just down the road at stations that also cater to truckers it's $3.04 but one has to add the $0.24 excise tax so true cost is actually $3.28 per gallon.

Regular unleaded is about $2.64 or so.

CA Diesel Prices.....High..High..High..

Thanks to our worthless legislature, a tax on gas and diesel (which is even higher) is making the diesel option less and less desireable. I think the total cost/gallon of gas/diesel in CA is made up of $1.00, or maybe more, in just state tax. Ridiculous!

.... you guys out there really do need high MPG TDi cars:rolleyes:
Prices at the pump are not out of line for this time of year.....there is always this difference gap this time of year......

Also you can blame the feds for the local tax increases, states are being forced to raise state taxes with no federal increase since the early 1990s. When the federal tax is raised we all share the cost of road system up keep.....

Over what we have today where each state is being for forced to pay for repairs on their own......

As part of the massive tax hike here in the CPR, almost 1/3 was diverted FROM road repair to non-road uses AS PART OF THE BILL (one diversion is to fund publicity for parks)! Of course, Gov. Brown and his clique swore that ALL of the new taxes would go to fixing roads! Of course, butter wouldn't melt in their mouths.
