Default Show and Shine Catagories

Here is the much anticipated list for the Show and Shine categories this year. Like in the past couple years, we are moving away from the traditional body platform categories and electing to break the categories up by more of a modification system.

The categories are:

Stock : Within this class, you will compete against cars that are considered as bone stock. Your car will gain points by being in a “out of the dealer” state. If your car is old but it still has all the factory equipment and if everything that broke was replaced with the same OEM parts you will gain more points because maintaining a like new condition on an older car hard and that will be considered in the judging team.

OEM+ : You know you have modified your car but you wanted to do a clean as possible job using all OEM engineered parts that were fitted on other markets or other years even other models ? This class is for you! In this class points are given for upgrades that have been made from better/nicer factory parts. For example: GTI Wheels, Climatronic, GLI Recaros, OEM 11mm pump and VNT17 are considered OEM+ since they are an OEM upgraded part.

Modified : You modified your car and didn’t care about keeping it OEM looking so you installed aftermarket headlights, boost/EGT gauges, Koni shocks, Bosio nozzles, aftermarket wheels, custom exhaust, aftermarket head unit amps and speakers, body styling parts and such. Here’s where you want to be! OEM+ modifications will also be counted if well done and clean but on a smaller scale than the OEM+ class.

Radical : This is the open class of the event. Here bigger is better. You built a custom engine with parts from all over the diesel place? Redesigned the way the body was meant to work or swapped a TDI into a 1960 Beetle? The more you modified the car, the more you will earn points if it’s well done naturally. This is the crazy setups area. Swaps are welcome here.

We are posting this early so you can plan on which category you would like your car to be entered in and start your preparations.

Let the shining begin!!!!
