My 2002 Skoda Fabia 1.9TDI (PD type injection) developed a severe misfire. Fault code given is 18075 (No 2 cylinder) and indicates that I should replace the 'cable tree' in the cylinder head. Whilst I could find no fault using a precison ohm meter on this 'cable tree' I have replaced it and the car has been fine for the last 200 miles. The VW dealer had 12 in stock so they must be a regular item! I understand that the ECU effectively sends a signal out prior to injection to check the integrity of the whole circuit including injector, if not ok then it 'blocks' the firing signal, but it must be very sensitive??
