There are no frost plugs in the TDI engine block. That means no block heater.

The TDI heater is a great way to heat up the coolant on those cold nights. I chose the cheaper route and bought a ZeroStart heater from Canadian Tire and installed it myself with nothing but $6 worth of coolant hose.

I installed my own circulating heater from parts also, heater bought at autoparts store the rest at Canadian Tire. Cost around $70CDN. If you PM me I can give you part # from Canadian Tire. Took about 1/2 hour to install.:)
