Hi, I need some suggestions from the TDI owners here. I have Jetta TDI 2013 with almost 50k mileage. I opted in the buyback option and planning to return it by Dec 2018, a year from now. I have avoided the major 40k service (suggested by the dealer as I was planning to return it) and just went with the regular oil + filter change. I have just done the oil + filter change today for 50 k service. My question from the pros
1) will it be a good idea to drive the car for another year without having the major service done which was due at 40k? My drive is approx. little less than 1000 miles per month.
2) In today's service I found out the tires need to be replaced as well (the front ones). Any suggestion if I should go with the used tires as I don't want to spend much on this car anymore which I am planning to return in a year period.
3) My last question is for those who already did the emissions fix. What is the difference in mileage after the fix?
Thank you and I look forward for the responses.
