I attempted to connect a cd changer to my Beetle and now the radio won't come on. I test lighted all the fuses and all seem to be doing well. Does anyone know how to remove the stereo and if there is fuse other than fuse panel and under the hood? I drive 150 miles a day to and from work I need my tunes. Please Advise

You have to have 2 tools to remove the dash radio- Purchased from V.W.Dealer for about 17 dollar U.S. there is a 3rd fuse on the rear of the radio 10 amp.(red) get your code ready and go!

I contacted a couple of VW dealers here and they dont sell this tool. They said it was a service department tool only. Do have any pics of this tool and I can make one. thank you

You can take an old credit card and cut two 1/4" wide strips out of it.

I used two 1/4" hose clamps unrolled.
