I just bought a 1999 Jetta w/ a WVO kit on it. I'm excited about the fuel savings, etc. New to TDI & forums.
I have a bad rattle. Sure it is the rear axle beam bushing. From what I am reading, there are different axles used & bushings. What is the best way to know which one I've got. Is there a number stamped on the axle? VIN number do any good? Are there upgrade bushings? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

Lots of info here.

But forst 99 was a cutoff year.

You need to know if you have a MKIII or a MKIV to start with.

Regardless the dealer should be able to provide the correct bushings with the vin#.
