This did/does not help me at all:
I'll print all of this out and see what develops and get at it this weekend:

tdawson = Was coding on the ABS controller ever verified? And again, did you ever verify coding?
I would if I knew exactly what it is I'm looking for and where.
but my wife's 2015 US SEL has this for the coding in the ABS controller:
Address 03: ABS Brakes (J104) Labels: 1K0-907-379-60EC1F.clb
Part No SW: 1K0 907 379 BS HW: 1K0 907 379 BS
Component: ESP MK60EC1 H46 0166
Revision: 00H46001
Coding: C54BC0F5492800FAA30B03EB92210042A1100012
Shop #: WSC 09003 957 00200
VCID: 04296A97875EB761CD-8050
On mine the numbers after Part No HW is 1K0-907-379-60EC1F.clb Sorry I just realized this one is identical 9/10/18
Coding Nr = C54BC0F5492A00FDA30E03E8921F0042A11C0012 This has a number if differences
So there is 1 number different which I did not notice before.
So are you suggesting I should
change the numbers to the one from your wife's car?
tdawson = 01325 - but there is no such device by name or the "J502"
As per your link to Ross-Tech "Control Module for Tire Pressure Monitoring (J502)"
===============================
740GLE = also you can just turn off TPMS all together, nobody needs those nannies anyways
I'm pretty sure I have, but tell me how and I'll re-check it again.

06bluebeetle tdi =
When I start the car it flashes and shortly after it stays on solid.
This is the key statement, there is something wrong in the system, whether it is a failed wheel speed sensor or something else,
the light will not clear until you fix it.
If it were just a simple push the button and reset the pressure, it would not flash on initial start, it would come on, go out for a second, then come right back on.
So
how do I check these sensors? With a multimeter test for a short?
================================
This is really frustrating !
If someone can tell me exactly
what and
where and
how to do something, would you please simplify it for me and send me a PM. I have to be honest telling me to "check the coding etc" does not mean much to me since I have no idea what it applies to and where and what I'm looking for.
It's much like someone writing a users manual, the author knows exactly what he is trying to say but for the eventual reader it is not the same.
Tnx
