Guys got a 03 golf my long power steering just started to leak/seep got to love those little rust bubbles. I was wondering do the 2.0 and Tdi run the same lines? Or would you guys do the easy out and cut the bad part with a copper cutter and replace with some fuel hose and double hose clamp both sides. This would not be a longtime fix until I get time to replace the whole thing? Plus in the future I was goin to swap out steering rack and swap out subframe bushing with Tyrol bushing which I already have. Plus the car got almost 400k. Also what steering rack would u guys use stock or Audi TT ? Are the 1.8t and vr6 the same? Thanks

I don't know for certain, but I believe the 1.8t racks are the same, but I know for certain the tdi lines are specific to tdi and they're even more specific to auto or manual. I wouldn't try the fuel line trick, as high pressure will force it ls way out.
