Just wanted to send out a big thanks to the organizers of this years TDIFest. All the work Ripster, Hondo, Gwilli, and IrishchickyTDI did along with their helpers was awesome.

Also like to thank DieselGeek, the Vagcom guys and others who donated stuff to the auction. Along with some money left over from organizing the even, just over $1000 was raised for the forums and more importantly over 100 people had a great time. I wish I could post some digital pictures, but my camera is still a 35mm;( I’m sure we’ll get more pictures from others in the morning.

Thanks again MI for a great hosts. !

High Speed Internet was one of the criteria for the Hotel and a big factor in choosing the Hilton.
More pictures and write up once we all travel and get home. Thanks Fred, sure was great to see that TDI wagon pull up to the Bio truck.

The 'Fest was definitely an overachievement in terms of what would have been acceptable. You folks set the mark for future 'Fests. I think it was all inclusive, the weekend offered something for everyone. I hope I can make it out next year!

It was also terrific to meet the very excellent members of Fred's that have helped me along the way. Even that guy who didn't notice my name tag until it was pinned to my pants.

Alco, and any who took pictures, please send them to me on a cd so that I can compile them onto one large cd. We will then produce them, with proceeds going to Fred's TDI Page. Thanks.

Thanks to all the planners for a really nice first fest for us. The tech session was fun and interesting. All the events were enjoyable but I liked using cb radios, the convoys to get there and the long one to the racetrack. It was fun seeing others working on their cars at the racetrack and having people stop to offer advice and encouragement for our starter problem.

It took a bit of effort to convince my husband that we should attend the fest but he must have enjoyed it as he talked about it almost to Dearborn. He really got a kick out of Jonathon geeting the 5.0 at the track.

Pretty quiet at the hotel tonight without all you tdiers to chat with.

it was great to see everyone again and some new faces. and of course, it was great to see Fred and Nicole's new ride

and as to what MOGolf has posted, just when you think you know someone
. it was great to work beside you and as i have said before, thanks mucho for the help. as is life, the forums are fun but when you get to be with someone in real life and work hand in hand beside them, it shows where true friendship comes from

Hear, hear!!!

My compliments to everyone involved, and all attendees! Everything was exceptional, from the chats to the biodiesel. I envy all with local access to Wacker fuels & their hospitality, and Gezon too, pretty cool bunch! I hope we generated lots of interest & business for both

Was a pleasure meeting you & your wife too Fred, happy TDI'ing!!!

Garrett it's time to turn Erin over...she's well done...yikes talk about red

Dave, ignore everyone, they're just jealous of your purty legs

PS There was some possibly alcohol induced talk Sat nite by certain individuals (you know who you are!) of using my g/f for Canadian bear bait...well y'all may want to reconsider...she's only 5'1" but I guarantee you the bear will get the worst of it!!
LMAO!!!

Oh and one more thing,

if anyone wants to send me their collection of pictures I'll put them together in a group like the one from fincoop and host it. I for one get tired of clicking on html just to see one pic.

If you want to email em to me or send me a CD what ever works - i'll get them up like this on here:

Erin ALWAYS gets fried at these GTGs. She did last spring at Hondo's place too. We should all buy her a bottle of SPF 45...............
