I know what you mean. I hate having a messy garage and having to to work on a project. A clean well lit garage is much more inviting place to work.

Are you cutting the dash on the ends? This is a Passat dash, heater/A/C box?

This is what part of the ventilation for the 2 outside vents look like i got the vent hose from ORileys and cut a couple of holes in the top and just screwed them in, i wil seal the top i made, i could use the center vents if i wanted to but i think im gonna use that for the guages, the other side vent the hose is run in back of the steering colum so i left it in the truck, its gonna work fine, the lower heat is done basically the same way....

well today i ran into a small snag, i have been working on the wiring and decided to power up to check things out, i have all my grounds on, everything powers up except the cluster, the glow plug light, check engine light, and battery light come on, the dash lights work, but the trip and mileage does not come up, i have checked constant power to the cluster and its good power when key is on is good wondering if maybe the fuse box might be bad, i haven't had time to check it all out but maybe someone might have a little insight?

Maybe a problem with the cluster. Which one are you using? Passat TDIs have a prblem with speedo and tach burning out. I have one now speedo stopped working.

don't worry about the passat cluster failing. I paid one of the guys on tdiclub $60 shipped to convert an OB2 Passat Vr6 MFA cluster to a TDI and he put the correct mileage on it and replaced the voltage regulator.

Well this week i laid a very close friend to rest 46 years old and had a massive heart attack. I will miss him dearly

Im finishing up the radiator and have to get my resivor tank in for my intercooler and then to the machine shop to finish the throttle pedal mount and the hydraulic clutch linkage finished up. Can anyone tell me if a mk4 n75 valve is better than the 1Z? Or should i just stick with the origional or does it make a differen e

That sucks, way too early in life.

The mk4 N75 is for a vacuum setup which is for VNT turbos. I plan to convert my car to a mk4 N75 when I do the VNT turbo but I will also have the ECU programmed for the mk4 N75 valve.

Use the original N75 or buy a new one for $50 from Idparts.com
