Nice car! I remember seeing you at the TDIFest in MA. The car is beautiful. How many miles on it? What's your average fuel economy? And how do you like the handling with the rear sway bar? I know a lot of people say the Passats are too soft.

The car had 14,000 miles now.
I average 27-28 MPG in town 37-38 on the the highway.
I got 43-5 MPG on the trip to MA.The sway bar tightened it up nicely.
The car will not be cheap...... It has over 1500.00 in radio equipment and nearly 1000. worth of headlights.

I have wanted an SUV for awhile...... I have owned several toyota's and a Jeep Cherokee in the past. I wanted a Diesel though so I have stayed with the VW's for now
This is just a feeler but it is a definate possibility....

That is a Factory VW MFD Radio/Navigation system not available in N/A it came from Germany and is made for VW by Blaupunkt. It is a 4000 option on New cars

Tomo, where did you find the European side mirrors and the MFD? Did you install the MFD yourself? Really impressive what you have done to your car ...have you decided to go to the Jeep?

I installed the MFD with the expert assistance of a couple of Club members locally, but the install is basically Plug and Play and really changes the personality of the car.

Hi Don, Tom isn't going anywhere. That man has just as much diesel running through his vains as I do, FCOL! Sure, his tornado red B4 was a fine specimen but, those new B5's are so fricken refined, I think they are by far, the best bang for the buck out of all available vehicles in N. America, bar none. After you get the new Liberty, check in with us and let us know how it is going. I have read a little bit about them, and was telling my neighbor to consider a Liberty rather than a Escape Hybrid. Seriously, you are a TDI icon. I was just having a bit of fun with you. Please don't take offense.

You know, there's not a single TDI club member who has helped me more with my TDIs when help was really needed. This is a huge loss...and I'm guessing that it's newbees like you who are driving him away... TDIclub has changed.

Tomos red Jetta for sale was the first thing I saw on this board when I joined last year and I loved everything he did to it and the patience with which he sold it. A lot of people jump on this board and ask questions when the answers are plainly listed. Tomo was a good egg and I wish me and my TDI were in his hometown to get a dose of his practical advice. He and his insightful commentary will be missed.
