Start without clutch pedal pushed in...

After getting my Vag-com I have confirmed the clutch pedal switch, brake pedal switch and any other switch related to the car starting work.

Pressing the clutch will bring me out of cruise control.

Not pressing will still allow me to start the car so I don't get it. I thought the car would not start unless the clutch was pedal was down to the floor.

Any thoughts on this oddity.

There is a seperate switch for this. It's above the regular clutch IIRC. Mine is broken too.

I too can start the engine without the clutch on my 2001 Jetta. Anyone know a cost for the switch
