venting the fuel tank

I have a 2002 Jetta TDI. The newspaper article that first alerted me to this website mentioned you could learn such valuable info as how to fill your fuel tank completely, through the use of a vent somewhere under the hood that allows the air in the tank to vent out while you fill.
Would someone please advise me on how to do this.
Right now I "burp" the tank by screwing on the filler cap 4 to 5 times when the fill pipe is full. I can then add another couple pints of fuel. This gives me enough fuel to do my 100 mile daily commute all week on one tankfull.
I would appreciate any advice. Thanks

It's not under the hood. It is a simpler method of doing what you're doing now. Go here.
