I have 2 old fobs from previous VW's. I am sure that one of them is from a Jetta, not sure about the other at all. I've had 5 or 6 different VW's over the years.

Do these keys have any value on Ebay? or should I just toss them? Can I reprogram them to my current Passat??

Thanks
Bruce

Cant reprogram the immo chip but you can replace the chip. But by the time you buy a chip and a key blank, you probably could have bought a key.

In other words not worth much.

The fobs you can reprogram to work with at least similar generation VWs, maybe most all, but not sure. But fobs are cheap and plentiful. Not worth enough to bother with if you or friends have no use for them

They aren't worth much, but they are worth something. I bought like-new used fobs as my spares since I only had 1 key (and had a new key cut and programmed by own chip to save $300 at the stealer)
