06 dsg 210,000 miles. I am getting a rubbing sound from the front right. Kind of like the wheel bearing. The weird thing is it only happens above 60mph, while turning right when i take my foot off the gas. Very consistent. Any ideas?

Noises that become noticeable in turns are most common in both CV joints and wheel bearings. Lift the car's starboard bow and see if there is ANY play vertically or horizontally in the wheel. Front wheel bearing failure is apparently common. If there is no play, then it is probably the CV joint.

Thanks sptsailing. I am leaning towards the axle. It just started this evening, and havent had a chance to get under the car yet. The instantaneous on off linked to whether i am on the gas or off makes me think axle.

Take the axle off, as it it easy. You can tell then quickly if the wheel bearing is bad or not. Mine went bad at or before 146,000 miles. Very bad, dreadfully bad.
