Okay I am not very good at math. I teach history and I have always had trouble with math. I want to make sure I am calculating everything correctly. My 2013 Jetta sedan is worth $21,677 I have 68,000 miles on it right now and if I calculate it for June I subtract 9,378 giving me 58,622. If I do the same but for October I get 54,454. After adjusting it for mileage I am coming up with $20,137 based on the June figures and $20,557 based on the October figures. So will I get $20,000 or so for my car if I chose for VW to buy it back?

Or is the $20,000 figure the amount of the buy back and the compensation? So would I get around $15,000 for the buy back and $5,000 or so in compensation?
