Well I'll put a mattress on my car as soon as you learn to spell "TDI" and drop the apostrophe /images/graemlins/grin.gif, unless you meant Pump Deuse Injection, in which case I retract that part of my levity since I can't afford the new ones yet /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Seriously, I don't need to join, but wouldn't mind rondayvooing with you guys now and then...three or four of us could come down there and do some slum...er...mixing, snicker. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

I live just off of 35W and frequently encounter okies on the road, so I have mixed emotions. /images/graemlins/wink.gif I’m just kidding of course. I'm all for expanding Texas territory.

(BTW, if it’s an acronym, you use an apostrophe)

Texans complaining about Okie driving...(chortling)

It does seem a shame not to have some regular meetings since we are all about 2-3 hours apart...fine by me...anyone near Denton? /images/graemlins/smile.gif

With regard to apostrophes, I recall learning that apostrophes could be used in abbreviations with periods after them, but I'm drawing a blank on acronyms, so I'll give you that one /images/graemlins/smile.gif....the acronym probably needs some periods anyway.

We might be able to scare up two or three for a Saturday breakfast somewhere with good hot sauce down that way...let us know!

Actually I'm usually up there at least once every 6 weeks or so. How do you think I've put 40000 miles on in 14 months? :p

Hey RB! /images/graemlins/smile.gif What's shakin??? I think it would be a hoot to get down there and have some breakfast some Saturday morning...might be difficult to get the old geezers up from Killeen and parts south, though /images/graemlins/smile.gif...I'm hip for anything in D/FW area, too....see if you can shoehorn werks in there, too, when you come up...

hey, do you guys have some decent places to do TB/water pump swaps down that way? The mechanic who did my last one at Cable up here is no longer there, I think...not sure, but don't want to risk a newbie doing the 120k change, etc.

Another potential border conflict averted, hew......
To be honest, if we can get some GTG's going and I can learn more about my diesel, I wouldn't mind a few Yankees showing up. Just kiddin there mister.........

That is what I am wanting the way I see it lets leave this the Texas list but when we have a GTG every one is invited weather your from OK or BFE. A TDI owner is a friend to us all!

Scurry TX. 60 miles southeast of Dallas but I work at Love Field. We really do need a get together. I noticed a Kaufman address, I've probably seen you on 175.

but i for one would welcome possible gtg's.

heckfire, i just drove on over to columbus oh last week for a tb.
but of course the work up there was excellent bar none,
you folks are even selling the vids.

who is this rickstah?
i met a '98 red jetta
fuelin at the flyingj north okc last year
but he acted like he'd never heard of the tdiclub...

What is the difference? Isn't BFE just OKC spelled sideways?

Hey Blue, sorry I didn't get back on the PM, have been busy...i've bought three vehicles from Cable over the years, and my main gripe is not unusual...you have to be on your toes to get anything done right from Service the first time...they tend to stonewall finding any issues until you actually make them follow your finger down to the crack in the frame, or whatever /images/graemlins/wink.gif. If you get an extended warranty (the one they sold me folded but they said they would "honor" it) make sure you know EXACTLY how car loaners and such work...they beat me out of several days of car loans by saying that they hadn't diagnosed the problem by day's end and so the letter of the law didn't allow them to give me a car...grrrrr...overall, I would just be careful to get everything in writing, no matter how minor...write your own notes on the receipts about what you heard them say then have someone initial it...that really makes them grumpy, snicker. If you are having trouble getting answers, try to talk with Ron Rowe in sales, tell him you are a friend of Rick Rushing's in Yukon, then he will hang up on you /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I guess they are no different than most dealerships, but I've had to give my vehicles back to them numerous times for the same problem...gets annoying. Good luck.

What the heck is a dudybug? /images/graemlins/cool.gif Hey guy, we all need to get together at Cracker Barrel some saturday morning...you, me, lightwave, okcjack, maybe some others around here! I drive a red 98 Jetta with cool spinners on it, snicker

well I'm all bummed now, since Dudybug doesn't want to go to CB...I was in there last week and a short, wide woman waited on me, a Latin American fellow cleaned the table, an effeminate looking fellow poured water for me, and I saw people of all colors working in there...(scratches head)...I guess Denny's is out, too...uhhhh...does Ted's serve breakfast? /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah, you pay excise tax around here...it may have been an availability thing?
